About Sonorous: 

Sonorous is a powerhouse blues rock trio from Taupō, New Zealand, delivering high-octane live shows and a raw, soul-charged sound. Since forming in 2021, they’ve earned a fierce reputation for their explosive stage presence and passionate musicianship.

Featuring Lucian McDermott (lead vocals/guitar), Khani Te Mete (bass), and Cooper Paalvast (drums), Sonorous blends gritty blues with driving rock rhythms, creating a sound that’s both fresh and timeless. Their dynamic performances have lit up stages across New Zealand and Australia, building a loyal fanbase and critical acclaim.

Join Say Or Do for a massive night of live original music at Rosemary’s Bar, right in the heart of Taupō. We’re stoked to be headlining this show and bringing our full EP, SHIFTING PARADIGMS to the biggest of small stages - expect alt-rock energy, catchy hooks, and a few surprises.

We’re joined by Kessel (Whanganui), who blew us away in the Naki with their punchy, hard-hitting alt-rock vibes. Super tight, and sounding massive!

Opening the night is Danny Rascal, bringing set packed with the raw energy of his recent album THURSDAY'S CHILD: think old school rock, grunge, punk and a bit of ska attitude thrown in. One man, a guitar, and zero chill.
